Laura and Josh first met in 2021 at The Gin Tub in Hove, where, after a lot of tequila, the first date was planned…
A feast at Burnt Orange, which was fitting, as food quickly became a big part of their story, from exploring restaurants across London and Brighton, to trips to New York, Australia, Spain, Greece and beyond, there's always been a next meal on the itinerary.
Since then, they’ve built a life around the things they love most: travelling, padel with the dads, coffee dates, getting their 10k steps in, watching fantasy movies, spending time with family, and making the most of every chance to be in Crete. In 2023 they moved to Haywards Heath together, growing side by side and always pushing each other on.
More than anything, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of their favourite people.
A love letter to Crete
Laura’s family has been coming to Kalyves for over 20 years, returning year after year to their house in the village. Over time, it has become a real home from home, with familiar faces, favourite places and locals who have become friends.
It already held such a special place in both of their hearts, but it became even more meaningful when Josh proposed to Laura on their favourite morning walk route, overlooking the views of the village, the sea and the mountains. So when it came to choosing where to get married, Crete felt like the only place.
